WASP is an independent Swiss project, based in Biel/Bienne, dedicated to contemporary photography.
Born from a desire to discover and bring together photographers with different perspectives, WASP aims to tell stories, to question, or simply to highlight singular and authentic visions that share only one common denominator: a single world to capture in images.
About WASP Magazine
The project explores photography through diverse approaches: photo reportage, travel, archival images, or experimentation; particular attention is paid to personal processes and to authors who develop a true artistic voice.
In a landscape saturated with images, WASP advocates for a different temporality. One that allows for more looking, for lingering on a series, for understanding a narrative, and for letting an image resonate. Here, photography is not viewed as a succession of images to be consumed, but as an experience that deserves time and attention.
Independence is at the heart of WASP. It allows for the free selection of projects, the emergence of different voices, and the creation of encounters between worlds that might not otherwise have crossed paths. Each project is conceived with the same standard of excellence: prioritizing the singularity of the perspective, the power of the narrative, and the quality of the image.
WASP thus wishes to create an open, curious, and attentive space for contemporary photography. A space where authors can present their work and where their images can find a lasting place.
